assigning tasks

if i create a task and send it to a colleague she can open it accept it and
have it assigned to her calendar . however if we reverse the process all i
receive is a text based message that is obviously based on the task but has
none of the functionality. what's going on here, is there a flag not set in
one of the outlooks / where is it or is it a limitation of the email ISP

Outlook version? Your colleague needs to make sure that she has marked your
address for rich-text format.
