assigning macros to a text link or create a drop down box

I can't figure out how to assign macros to text or how to create a dro
down box with each choice linked to a macro? Does this make sense -
can I do this? Help!! Thanks
 
Use data validation (List option) and the change event if you are using
xl2000 or later.
