Assigning IP address to a user via Active Directory

I have a user setup in Active directory that gives people access to a local
cd-rom & floppy drive. I would like to assign this user a static IP address
if possible via Active Directory so users can only access this on certain
machines.
I know that people would normally advise against such action but we only
need to set it up for one user, and wanted to know if it was possible.

Any suggestions welcome

Thanks

I am not sure what you are actually trying to do. IP addresses are assigned
to computers, not users. And static IP addresses cannot be assigned, dynamic
IP's are assigned. Finally, it is DHCP that assigns dynamic IP addresses,
not Active Directory.

IN the properties of user account, click "Log on to..." to define logon
workstations. The user will be able to log on to workstation if its name
matches one of the list; netbios protocol has to be installed on the
machine, however.
