Assigned tasks not updating

I've succesfully assigned tasks from Outlook 2003 to another person
(just one person, non-recurring) running Outlook 2003 (no exchange).
The task shows up in the assigned account, everything is good. I get an
email reply telling me that task has been accepted. It's an email with
an attachment. I double click on that email, but the email wouldn't
open. But when I double click on it, it's marked as read. Anyway, the
tasks on my outlook is not updating, even though I'm receiving the
emails.

Can anyone help?

I had real problems with this. It is due to an Outlook update.

What you have to do is go to add/remove programs in the control panel. Then
make sure the 'show updates' box at the top of the window is ticked.

Under MS Office you should see a list of updates. Look for the one that has
against it KB913807 and uninstall it (for some reason I always have it listed
twice and so it needs uninstalling twice!!)

BUT........if you have automatic updates turned on, then you need to turn it
off before you uninstall it otherwise it installs it again before you can
blink your eyes.
Then if you want turn automatic updates back on, what you must do is fo a
manual check for updates. When it shows KB913807 then call up the details and
tick the box for it not to show you it again.
Then you can turn automatic updates back on and it will not reinstall it!
