Assigned recurring tasks not being updated when completed

I have assigned a recurring (daily) task to another individual. The task
continues to show on my task list, as desired, with the appropriate icon
showing it has been assigned.

The person to whom it was assigned accepted the task and completed the task
today, changed the status to completed and successfully sent me a status
report indicating that the task was completed. In outlook for the person to
whom the task was assigned, today's task shows as being completed and the
task for tomoorw has been correctly created.

I have received the status report indicating the task was completed.
However, the task that appears in my Task list in Outlook is not updated.

I have reviewed the postings for the assigned task issues. While it is
somewhat confusing due to the various postings and at different times, it
appeared to me that this issue might be solved by uninstalling Security
Update for Outlook 2003 (KB892843) and reinstalling this and 913695.

However, I went to my Control Panel to see what updates I have and neither
of these appeared. Instead the following appears:
Microsoft Outlook Professional Edition 2003 Installed
on 3/30/06
Office 2003 Service Pack 2 (SP2): MAINSP2ff Installed on
3/30/06
Security Update for Excel 2003 (KB905756): EXCELff Installed on
3/30/06
Update for Office 2003 (KB907417): OTKLOADR Installed on
3/30/06
Update for Outlook 2003 (KB913807): OLKINTLff Installed on
3/30/06
Update for Outlook 2003 (KB913807): OUTLOOKff Installed on
3/30/06
Update for Outlook 2003: Junk E-mail Filter(KB914454): OUTLFLTR
Installed on 3/30/06

So the option posted byJudy Gleeson MVP Outlook on 3/26/2006 to Russell does
not appear to work in my situation. Or am I missing something?

Can someone confirm that this issue is still unresolved and perhaps provide
a work around and/or a projected date as to when this problem will be fixed?

I find it amazing and frustrating that this feature does not work, given the
frequency with which this feature is promoted in Microsoft Office Online.

Thanks you for your help.
