ASRock 939Dual-SATA2 Wont Boot or Beep

C

I've just bought a ASRock 939Dual-SATA2 and a AMD 939 4400+ X2
processor. I've taken out my old mobo and processor from my PC and
installed the new ones. I then took the memory out of the old mobo and
stuck it in the AsRock and installed the graphics card (and of course
the mobo power, speaker and case panel leads ect).

This should have been enough to boot, however when I powered it up
nothing happened. The case, cpu and graphics card fans all spin up so
the mobo is getting power. However I dont get anything on the monitor
or any beeps on the speaker.

The mobo manual does not have a trouble shooting section so I dont know
what to try next. Could anyone suggest what may be the problem or what
I could do to diagnose it?

TIA,

Colin

Check if you hooked up the 4-pin power connector by the
cpu. Also check if your reset button is stuck. Reseat both
ram and graphics card. Use only one ram stick. Look closer
and make sure you did not swap reset and pwr pins .. my
favorite on a bad day.

What PSU? What is old CPU? What video card? Have you connected square
4-pin plug to motherboaed? Try clearing the CMOS on the motherboard.

Thanks Guys,

It turned out to be my PSU which wasn't powerful enough. I fitted a
more powerful unit and everything came back to life! Hoorah!

Thanks for the replying and sorry for the delay responding.

Cheers,

Colin
