ASIO Drivers

Are ASIO drivers installed with the windows vista installation routine? If
so, if they are uninstalled how do you re-install them or update them?

I have sound cards that should use them and they seem to be missing.

I would be VERY grateful to anyone who can point me in the right direction
on this.

Which soundcards do you have? Have you checked for Vista drivers for them?

Hi Jane,

I have a 'EMU 1212m' and a 'EST Maya44' and, unfortunately at the moment the
manufacturers only have Beta drivers for MS Vista - which I am reluctant to
use.

Does the ASIO2 drivers come with the manufacturers specific sound card
drivers or, is ASIO2 a 3rd party driver?

Same Issue while beta testing Vista , sound card M - Audio 1010 Lt , at the
time there were no choices . I would use the beta . any data you could
provide to the makers of your sound card would be helpful , as it is in beta
..
In that they have started to support vista is pointing in the rite direction.
M - Audio has stepped up its driver options to include Vista 64 bit drivers
..
I am now beta testing Server 2008 , same thing , ha . np , i can wait .
