Hi

I seem to have noticed that I now have 'Asian Layout' as a menu option
within the 'format' menu option. Any idea HGow I might have aquired it? I
would like to remove it but don't know how to...

Options cited in swissonline article are not there! For instance, under
Microsoft Office Tools, I have only "Activate product" and "Microsoft Office
Application Recovery", not "Language Settings". SteveP's problem is exactly
the same as mine: how do I get rid of this Asian stuff?

See the article at

the "Enable only the languages you want to use" section.

Through Windows > Start > Control Pane >l Regional & Language Options.
Uncheck "Asian Languages" on the "Languages" tab pane.

Regional and Language has the following tabs: Formats, Location, Keyboards
and Languages, Administrative. Keyboards and Languages tab has only one
button: Change keyboards. Rest of tab is blank.

Ah. Perhaps you are not in XP.

In that case, go to Change Keyboards and delete any Chinese, Japanese,
or Korean capability you may see.
