ascii character in custom format

Oh Wise Ones,
I know I've seen this before but I can't find it in
search. How do I put a special character in the custom formatting? I would
like to add a superscript 3 to the end of a number string #.###(cubed).
Please advise.

Hi,

In the Type textbox enter ALT+0179 (numeric keyboard) at the end of the
hashes.

#.###³
