Re: Microsoft Office Document Imaging.

This program has been running fine for years. Suddenly, I encountered
the following problem. The scan completes. I select DONE. OCR scanning
completes. I see the image in the windows. As soon as I select File I
get a window entitled Microsoft Document Imaging.
Microsoft Document Imaging has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. ... Send Error Report and
Don't Send buttons.

Additional information: Error Details Mspview Failure

Was there a recent update that is interfering with Document Imaging?

Identify your recent updates, then roll back with system restore. That should
answer your first question. Then add them one at a time till failure, (or
successful fix). That should identify the specific update. Use the Update
site option to 'never ask' for that update again. You might also go to the
web site of any devive that you suspect is conflicting with the update for a
new driver. You would have to experiment with disabling drivers to identify
that.
You could also consider a "Repair" setup, to fix any broken files you might
have.

Apparantly Microsoft Office Service Pack 3 ruined Microsoft Office Document
Imaging. After you install this service pack on your computer, clicking on
"file" in Microsoft Office Document Imaging will give you the following error:

AppName: mspview.exe AppVer: 11.0.8166.2 AppStamp:4616c203
ModName: mspview.exe ModVer: 11.0.8166.2 ModStamp:4616c203
fDebug: 0 Offset: 00016537

I wish I knew what could be done about this.
