This article is based on a chat which was held about the Vista version of
Windows Defender. I believe this chat is public--one of the participants
asked if he could include the transcript in his blog and was given the OK.

However, I don't have a link to the transcript--and I didn't spot it in the
Bink article, although it was referred to.

What I read there appears to be accurate.
 
the vista version and xp version is basically the same except that WD vista
version will take advantage of UAP.
 
Yes--this information really hasn't been public before now--the same code
will be running on all the platforms essentially.
