Arrow button on system tray missing

Hi Bob.
Try this. RIGHT click on an empty place on the task bar
and choose properties. In this new window, at the bottom,
make sure there is a check mark in the box that
says "Inactive Icons". If there is on there then take it
out , Apply to make THAT change and then go back in to
put the ck mark in the window. Apply changes and see if
it works .

Also, the arrow will disappear if you install or uninstall software, or
if your computer shuts down abnormally (power failure for instance). It
should come back after you have been logged in for about two hours.
This really bothered me at first, but then I realized that Windows is
programmed for strange behavior by design, so I just let it go.
