Arial Font

I am running Windows XP professional, and using Office 2007. The problem I
have is with fonts but i believe it only affects Powerpoint 2007. It seems
that when i open Powerpoint i have one TrueType Arial font and nothing else.
If i open an older Powerpoint presentation that seems to be created in
Powerpoint 2003, i have two Arials listed in the Drop down menu, one is the
True type font, and the other just states "Arial" without the True type icon
next to it. I have tested this on another PC and it seems to do the same
thing. The problem is that on one PC, the Non True Type Arial is different
from the Truetype. When i open the Fonts dialog box and highlight the Non
Truetype Arial it states "This font is not installed, The closest available
font will be printed." I do not know where Powerpoint is pulling this font
from, it is definately not Arial. I have tried uninstalling Office 2007 and
re-installing it. I have also tried uninstalling all the fonts that windows
lets me, and reinstalling the fonts from another PC in C:\Windows\Fonts. I
have also deleted all the printers. I have also started powerpoint in
safemode as well. All microsoft Office updates are applied as well. If you
would like i can send you a powerpoint Presentation that will allow you to
see the 2 arial fonts on the drop down.
