hi,

we have some users that when logging off there windows xp
machine there whole c: drive seems to get blown away,
only leaving files behind that were in use.

Anyone have any ideas?...this is becoming quite a concern
as we have just rolled out xp onto this clients site, has
happened to 2 seperate people so far.

What does that mean, exactly?
only leaving files behind that were in use.

Got good centrally managed antivirus software?
Using roaming profiles?
Event log errors give you any clues?

This means that something is erasing the c:\ drive when
logging on log off
What does a scan with a current antivirus (no earlier than 2003 version)
using updated definitions show?

Erasing what on the C drive? The entire OS is being blown away? Need more
info.

.
Well when you reboot it is missing boot.ini hal looks to
be the system32 directory, but upon closer inspection
there is only about 200mb of data left from a whole SOE
deployment.
