Area Code Rules

Greetings

I have a sbs 2000 box with all 2000 clients and outlook XP & 2003 as the address book
I have been able to receive faxes with no problem. The problem I have is in the users faxin
outbound. In the server and the workstation I have loaded the prefixes that are considere
long distance in area code rules. However, when our users fax, we always have to pla
with the entry at fax time and usually just enter as dialed to get it do dial correctly

Is there something I am missing? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

However if you are using send fax wizard it helps you enter the number in
canonical format. Please tell us if you are seeing the problem even when you
use send fax wizard (you should check 'Use Routing Rules' check box on the
send fax wizard).

Like all of its predecessors, the Windows 2000 Fax service will not process
dialing rules unless the phone number to which you are sending the fax is in
"international format." Details on how to use international format to invoke
dialing rules are available here:
