How do I fix this?

I can not copy files from my computer to an external drive.

You should be able to simply click Yes and the file will copy.

The message indicates that the file system on the external drive is not
NTFS and doesn't support all of the meta data for the file that NTFS
has. An example of this would be your any permissions, security
attributes or encryption that may have been applied to the file.
 
I tried that, but the file was empty if an office document and if a movie
file it will not play. I lost alot of documents by clicking yes.
