I'm confused. Of the number of ppl selling VS Net 2003 Pro Academic, one
persons says there are 2 CDs, another 4, another 7 and yet another 9!!??

They all claim to be selling the Academic Pro version and have sealed boxes.
BTW, how is this different from the FULL version.

Thanks.

Hi,
You might want to see the comparison here:

There is *one* Academic Edition. No such thing as "VS Net 2003 Pro
Academic".
Visual Studio .NET 2003 Academic Edition is exactly the same as the
Professional Edition with two exceptions:
1. The Academic Edition does not support remote debugging, and
2. The Academic Edition comes with an extra set or Academic Tools on a
seventh CD.
That said, it sounds like you are shopping on eBay or some similar venue. Be
very careful of any seller offering the Academic Edition who does not demand
proof of eligibility (student or faculty credentials) from you. And
remember, the Academic Edition can be obtained from legitimate sources, such
as Provantage (www.provantage.com) for under $100 US to eligible buyers.

Thanks Peter,

I tried the ProVantage link but failed to find the Academic version of
Visual Studio Net- must be a blonde day for me!

No, I should have provided the link. Provantage's search facility isn't the
best :)

This is the Academic Edition, aptly misnamed by Provantage.
$77.28 plus shipping. Not half bad.

Thanks again!
