I have searched the web, but can't seem to find a good alternative to Paypal?
Anything equally as simple as Paypal, that you know of, to send and receive
payments online?
Thanks.

A standard Merchant Account.

I am looking to see if there are alternatives to find out if I can use a
payment method without the seller receiving the buyers email address. When
you pay through paypal the seller gets your payment and your email address.
Are there any alternatives to this? Thanks.

Why would you want to accept an order online without having a means to contact the buyer by email?

Have you tried contacting PayPal, to see if they can remove your ability to get your customer's
email address?

Yes I have contacted Paypal. They say their system is set up so the buyers
email has to be directed to the seller.

Ok, but what about my first question, if you don't mind answering it?

The only solution I know of, is to get a Internet Merchant Account (CardServices, AuthorizedNet,
etc.), where you code the process so that the user doesn't have to provide an email address, as it
is not used in the credit card transaction approval process.

PayPal no longer requires that someone making a credit card payment, become a PayPal member.

Seems kind of dumb to sell something online and not get an email address.
What am I missing here?

Paypal got a lot of negative press when it first got started and there are a
lot of folks that are wary of it inspire of the improvements. They probably
do not want to scare off any potential customers that might be spooked about
giving our email addresses. Just a guess anyway......
