Are the any Low-Profile PCI-Express 1394b (Firewire 800) controllers out there?

There doesn't seem to be any made by anyone. SIIG used to make them, but now
they stopped including a low-profile bracket with the board that is small
enough for low profile anyway... Does anyone know of a brand that currently
still makes them? Google has come up empty so far... thanks in advance if
there's anyone that can help....

For Firewire 800, you'd be better off looking in Mac product lines.

This one is keyed for 3.3 or 5V and has the extra pins for 64 bit.
It is supposed to work in an ordinary PCI 32 bit slot (hangs over the end).
No, it doesn't have the right faceplate. Contact Sonnet and
see if they have a bracket for it.

I see two screw holes on some of the cards, so it may be possible
to make a fake faceplate. There are some cards that don't have any
screw holes like that, and they'd be harder to make a fake faceplate
for them. A while back (couple years ago), I did see a company offering
a bag of "assorted faceplates" for this sort of thing. The odds of
any of them being correct are pretty limited, but if you just wanted
the tab at the top, you might be able to kludge something together.

SIIG... I emailed them a couple of days ago as to why this model does not
ship with a low profile, because the card is narrow enough for low profile,
but I've gotten no response yet. They sell other cards like it in PCI/PCI-X
form that do include a low profile bracket, but when I took off the bracket
from them and tried to fit it on the PCI Express card, the port alignment
was a little off unfortunately...
