Do *.pst archives in Outlook 2002/2003 contain only emails or contacts and other stuff as well?

My vote is that everything is in the PST file.
We used to copy the file from laptop to laptop when people got new ones.
Every folder, email, filter, and setting would copy over. It
worked but I must note we moved it from XP to XP, user John to user
John. Never tried to move it from XP to Vista or from Bob to Robert.

Strange, you appear to have crossposted to some eight groups, some of which
were completely irrelevant, yet the responses only appear in the one group

Please let's exercise some constraint in cross-posting - there is no need
whatsoever to post such a simple Outlook question in several non-Outlook
newsgroups.

I believe they contain everything. Setup, filters, mails, folders.
I've copied them from PC to PC on upgrades and have had no issue
maintaining all data. At least no one has come back to me to break my
legs <grin>.

Hi Sven,

On PST files that I have exported and then imported, they can contain
email, contacts, etc. You have the option to include what you want.

Since no one bothered to answer the OP's original question:

Or at least we can;t see the responses.

Ben says all. this help_and support group is too general and the question
is only related outlook has nothing to do with XP

I just read this again and if you're specifically referring to PSTs
generated by AutoArchive, then no, because Contacts are never automatically
archived.
