I have changed computers. I archived folders from old
machine and am unable to restore files on new computer.
Think it has something to do with permissions - but dont
know what to do

Neither do we.

Provide some useful details. Outlook version? Where the archives are
stored? Are they marked read only? etc.

OK. Thanks your reply - I didnt know whether to really
expect someone to take the time to read my query.
Situation- Change of computer. Using Outlook 2002. I
archived all folders in OUtlook then burned on a CD.
When I try and import the pst file from the CD on the new
computer, I get 'File Access Denied, you do not have the
permission etc'. If I look at the properties for the
file it is Read Only and file type is "Office Data File"
no extension (I expected to see extension of pst??)

Tks
