Archiving PST Files to CD

L

Lori A.

I am trying to archive some of my PST files to CD and am
now getting an error:

"File access is denied. You do not have the permission
required to access the file .......)

I can browse the files on the CD when I go to add the
Personal folder, I have the CD in my drive, but I get the
error.

Any ideas? Am I trying to do something that isn't
possible?

Thanks.

outlook can't read files stored on cdr's. You need to copy it to the hard
drive and remove the read only flag.

Sounds like its read-only on the CD. Copy it locally and remove the
Read-only attribute and you should be ok

You cannot open pst's on a cd, you have to copy to hd, ensure read only is
off, before in OL File/Open/Personal Folders
