archiving does not move all items

I set autoarchive for all folders following the default settings - archive
items older than 6 months. When I manually do an auto archive tools>mailbox
cleanup>auto archive, only items of the sixth month are archived; i.e.
June/July 2004, the older items do not get archived. How can I get the older
items archived as well?

How can I get the older items archived as well?

Archive does not work on the received date, but on a (usually hidden)
modified date. If the "older" messages aren't archiving, it's because
they've been moved, opened, or otherwise manipulated more recently than the
archive date.

How would we archive from the email's recieved date instead of the last
modified/viewed date?

You would have to manually move mail. Archive works on modified date only
