Hi guys, thank you for all the help so far. I have another question:
am trying to organise my mail on the old computer first so created Archive
and Archive Sent folder and moved all old messages (3years worth) to it. When
you look at the OE6 Inbox they seem gone and are only visible in Archive,
however when comparing the actual files where they are stored (which i
wanted to transfer to new computer) the size of the Inbox/sent folders has
not changed - i.e. it looks as if the old messages have been copied to
Archive and not moved... So now i have double the size... Any ideas? thx,

If your refering to Outlook Express you might want to post to an OE ng - a
subgroup of IE ng's
