archive.pst.2

In process of searching thru files on my PC I found two archive.pst files :
1- archive.pst 1.2 GB (Todays file date)
2- archive.pst.2 1.5 GB (older file date)

Is it safe to delete the archive.pst.2 file?

Rename it so it has only the pst extension. Then look what's inside by
opening it in Outlook through File-> Open-> Outlook Data File...
