Archive Behavior

On one of our user computers here, the guy had been auto-archiving with not
much success. Well, to try to fix this, i remapped the link to the
archive.pst file and ran it again. It seemed to run better that time, but
still did not pick up some old e-mails that fell within the archive before
date. Can anyone provide an explanation for why this happens sometimes?

probably because the email was imported after the date of the email,
therefore the record date is newer than the receive date and the archive by
date.
