Is there a way to Archive the Calendar and leave the appointments in the
Calendar?

Its just that if you rely on a backup as I did yesterday, unbeknown to me
something had happened to my appointments and they had dissapeared, then when
i did a backup last night as i always do it overwrote the last backup and now
I have lost all my appointments.
please help someone.

Do you want to archive or backup? They're not the same thing. The whole
purpose of archiving is to _remove_ old data from your folders but allow you
to get it back if you need it later. The purpose of backing up is to be
able to reproduce your existing environment in case of a failure.

Backing up is easy. All you need to do is copy your PST while Outlook is
closed and then store that copy in another folder, on another disk, on a CD,
or on a tape so you can get it all back if you need it.
