Archieve file not found

GG Jones

I archieved many e-mails to default path.

When I click the archieve folders the error msg.

"Microsoft Outlook could not access the specified folder
location. The file C:\Documents and Settings\ggjones\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\archive.pst
could not be found"

I did not change the path. I can not find the file.

Can someone please help me

Somehow it got deleted then. If this is the case you'll need to restore a
back-up (if you made any).

Try searching for the file to check whether or not it got misplaced. Make
sure you include hidden and system files and folders when searching for
pst-file.

Note - in addition to Roady's reply, when you set up autoarchive, let it
create the folder and then move it and rename it with outlook closed. I
don't let Outlook or any programs store files in anything other than the
folder I want to use, which is never the default profiles or My Documents
folder anyway - on a standalone PC, I'd set up C:\Data\Outlook and name my
primary PST myname.pst and the archive folder myarchive.pst or something
obvious like that....when you open Outlook, you can redirect it to the new
location of the file(s).
