Arabic languge displayed on some option tabs

On windows xp I have some arabic language displayed on some of the options
tabs in windows and the text in the start menu is in aa different language as
well. How can I get this back into english. This happened within the last
week.
 
No that didn't work...All my settings are set to English. I see that someone
else had this problem as well. I still need help.

Changing to left-to-right is as simple as this (from a Google post):

- Right click the toolbar and choose customize
- Select the 'Commands' tab
- Select the format category
- Scroll down in the commands list until you find the 'Left-to-right'
and 'Right-to-left' options.
- Now you can drag and drop these options somewhere on a toolbar for
easy access and change of writing direction.

Save the changes as the Normal.dot template and that might correct the
default direction.
