apps open in notepad

my friend was using my tablet pc and when he opened an
app he used the "Open with..." option and picked notepad
as the program to open the app. now when I try to open an
app it opens in notepad, the notepad screen is also full
of random letter,numbers and symbols!!!
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!
