Apps continously show "Not Responding"

My performance with Vista has gone down the tubes. Many of my programs
including "Office 2007" show Not Responding and the program greys out. It
eventily comes back up but this has to be a sign of something wrong. I have
2 gig of ram and the computer runs Vista fine (well it did at first). I
checked the community and did not see anyone else complaining about this
issue.

Hi Top,

I would suspect something running in the background is the problem.
Something that is loading at boot is interfering by either taking a higher
priority or by causing other applications to fault. I would run the system
configuration utility (msconfig) and begin disabling applications in the
startup axis. You could also use Software Explorer in Windows Defender to
see what is currently running.
