Appointment email issue

G

Guest

I have a business trying to send appointments via pop3 mail boxes to themselves. Sometimes the appointments come through ok. At other times the appointment comes through what appears to be its programming language (i.e "BEGIN:VCALENDAR..."). I have updated all versions of Office to their latest service packs. Below is a sample of what we receive when the email with attached appointment comes through incorrectly

Outlook version from sending system is 200
Receiving systems are Outlook 2000,2002 and 2003. Same issue on each version.

Outlook 2000 cannot handle a reminder (the VALARM section) unless you
install a hotfix available from Microsoft Product Support Services, so try
sending the meeting request without a reminder. . I don't know of any
iCalendar incompatiblities for Outlook 2002 and 2003 though.

No reminder being sent with appointment... thanks for your help anyway. I was thinking that the appointment was being filtered by an ISP server but can't quite see any alerts in the email that comes through.

Ok I see what you mean ---- from the content of the appointments windows I cannot see how to stop that from happening --- but if there is a hotfix for it them it might be wise for me to Troll for more updates

Thank you.
