apply policy to win95/98 client

In our school, we want to apply a policy to the win95/98
clients when they log on to the domain.

We know how to create policies and apply them to the thin
clients connecting via terminal services, but are lost in
how to create a locked down policy for the other PC's.

Hi Mike. Windows 9x cannot apply group policies from a Windows 2000 domain. What you can do is use poledit.exe from the Win98 or
Win95 cd to configure system policy settings. You can then save the policy as config.pol (this file name is required) and copy it to the
netlogon share on a domain controller. After doing this, all Win9x machines on the domain will apply this policy. Also, you need to have
User Profiles enabled on the win9x machines.
