I act as delegate for someone else with "send as" permission. The junk e-mail
filter is only applied to my own inbox, though. How can I also apply this
filter to the other inbox that I manage?

You can't. Contact your mail admin about the possibilities of a serverside
spamfilter.

Tips of the month:
-FREE tool; QuickMail. Create new Outlook items anywhere from within Windows
-Properly back-up and restore your Outlook data

Robert,

Thanks for your response. Our server runs Windows Small Business Server 2003
with the POP3 Connector. I am not aware of non-SMTP server-side spam filters,
so this may be the reason to abandone the POP3 connector and move to SMTP.

Indeed, that is the best way to go. Another option is to contact the hosting
party of your POP3 mailbox and see if they can do serverside filtering. This
will save you in downloads as well but gives you less control on the filter.

there is a good filter called "Mailwasher" it lets you create rules and
filter you mail.
it checks the mail on the server and shows you in advance which letters were
blacklisted by your
rules and filters.
with this app you can apply the deletion of those letters directly from your
mail server
before they are downladed to your mail client (using the Process Mail
button).
the down side is that it checks only your inbox for spam etc. but does not
look into your Bulk Mail folder...

Since you are using POP3, you have option of running it through a major
providers mail filter. Check out gmail with spam filter. I have one site
where all users have email delivered to gmail account, then brought into
exchange after the garbage is stripped out.
