Indeed, that is the best way to go. Another option is to contact the
hosting
party of your POP3 mailbox and see if they can do serverside filtering.
This
will save you in downloads as well but gives you less control on the
filter.

Thanks for your response. Our server runs Windows Small Business Server
2003
with the POP3 Connector. I am not aware of non-SMTP server-side spam
filters,
so this may be the reason to abandone the POP3 connector and move to SMTP.

I act as delegate for someone else with "send as" permission. The junk
e-mail
filter is only applied to my own inbox, though. How can I also apply this
filter to the other inbox that I manage?
