Sometimes when i'm using my computer, whatever program, several error
messages appear all at the same time, like 4 or 5 at a time. The message is:
avp.exe - Application Error
The instruction "0x7c8faf9c" has made reference to the memory on
"0x7c8faf9c". The memory could not be "written".
Clik 'OK' to terminate the program
Clik 'Cancel' to "depurar"( this is the portuguese word, i couldn't find a
translation for it, but i'm sure you're familiar with this kind of message)
the progam
The message showed up in portuguese, i tried to translate it the best i
could
The message is always the same, the same instruction and the same memory,
the only thing that changes is the application that appears on top, i've got
it to all kinds of applications, i can only remember some of them:
avp.exe
wuavelt.exe
dumprep.exe
rundll32.exe
When this happens i try clicking cancel, it worked a few times, but the in
majority of it i had to terminate the program. Then it appears a message
asking if i want to send an error report and at the sime a message from
dr.watson to close the program. This happens for each application error, i
get 4 or 5 at a time so you can imagine the amount of messages on my screen!
But this is only the first round, when all of it is closed, and apparently
back to normal, the next program or application i open generates an error
message like these ones, whatever it is, even with the Help and Support of
windows. And there's another thing, sometimes the messages don't disappear
after closing, they get sticked on the screen and get in front of everything
i'm doing.
Now, this doesn't happen everytime i use the computer, sometimes i use it
just fine without any problem, but sometimes this happens, and i can't trace
a pattern, it's completly random for as far as i know.
I've tried disabling Dr.Watson and i guess it worked for while because the
errors stopped showing so much, but they're popping up again and it's very
anoying because it closes the programs that i'm trying to open when i'm
working, i can only get to open them by the 8th try or something. I was told
that this kind of problems could be cased by computer overheating, so i ran
Speedfan on it and the temperatures for the HD0 and Temp 1 are ok but the
temperatures on Core 1 and Core 2 have red flames almost all the time.
Please help me, this a new laptop i bought in october, you can imagine my
frustation. Any kind of help is appreciated. Thanks
