Applications automatically minimizing

I have several applications that when I am using anyone of them, the
application will minimize after about 2-3 minutes. I will have to click on
the application in the task bar to re-activate it to fill the desktop.

Hi,

Check the application's options whether they have some feature to minimize to task bar or to the system tray after a specified interval. You can disable it or customize it the way you want.

BTW if you can mention the applications that exhibit this behaviour then it would be helpful so that we can see what can be done.
