When a SBS user is logged on to the SBS server through a XP node, some
programmes do not run unless that user is given administrative rights. Can
some one guide me how to work on this issue.

Thanking you in advance.

It really depends on what the programs are. You often find this with
programs that are 1) badly written; 2) older and not designed for true
multi-user/permissions-aware operating systems; 3) niche
(industry-specific) software that may have been cobbled together from
older versions.

The best solution is to contact the makers of the particular programs
and see if there is 1) an upgrade to the program that will work
properly in a non-administrative user account; 2) a workaround
involving setting permissions on registry keys/files/folders; 3)
replace the program with something that will meet your needs and run
properly in a non-privileged account. With some extremely
industry-specific programs where choices of software are limited, you
are out of luck and will have to make the decision whether to use the
program or to run insecurely.
