I'm of the opinion that it's not safe to use a utility that claims to be
able to move your applicaions from one drive to another. It's my opinion
that if you are running out of hard drive space your best bet is to
solve the _hardware_ problem you have ie get a larger drive ie dont use
software to solve a hardware problem/limitation.

With that said the question still comes up in my line of work and I'm
just wondering if anybody has some good experience with movers such as
this:

As you can see if you read the "Important Notes" you'll note how
cautious you have to be.

Are there any apps. of this type that you've used and you're happy with?
Still, even if you do move some programs for somebody in a month or so
their C: drive will still fill up and you'll have a customer that wont
call you back anyway right?

Why not just re-install your apps in a different location? Each app has its
own installer specifically designed for that app. It's doubtful any 3rd
party app will know what registry keys and config files to modify for every
app out there.

I've never tried this particular program, but I have tried the
freeware coa32.exe. I found it less than perfect; it handled some
applications perfectly, but others didn't work after moving.

I'm with you. The safest and best way to move an application is
to uninstall it from the old drive and reinstall it on the new
one.

I agree. I was just trying to keep up to date to see if any reliable
utils existed.
