Is there any sort of log that Windows keeps of applications that have
been launched?
I run an online full-screen game that freezes the system for many
seconds when another application gains control, and freezes again when
the game regains control. Some application launches at random
intervals, interrupting the game. I already tried making the game not
freeze -- they say it's a driver problem, blah, blah, blah.
The application that starts does not display a name in the task bar.
It runs for less than a second. I've tried catching the name with Task
Manager, but it's basically impossible to do manually.
I've tried turning off all applications that do update checks
(Firefox, etc.). I don't have anything in my Startup folder that would
be doing this.
