Hello all;
I've wrote a POS application in Visual dBase v5.7 (a 16 bit compiler) that's
been running on Windows 3.1 to Windows XP since early 2000.
Recently, a new customer (who is using Windows XP) says the application just
*disappears* while they are entering data into an entry field. I've asked if
the app was minimized to the taskbar -- they said no -- it just shut down
and disappeared (no dBASE unstable msg, no msg from app, no warning, no
nothing).
They said they double click the icon on the desktop and things are back to
normal (except they lost what they were doing -- which is to be expected).
I've been told this happens about every other day. FWIW, I have other
customers running XP with no problems and this has never happened on
3.1/95/98/NT4/2K.
Does anyone have any idea what is happening, or what I should be looking
for?
TIA.
