Application hang and Dhcp problems

After my laptop crashed in October, I sent it to HP. They replaced the system board, saved my files on my HD, and everything from that point worked well. In the month of December, I started experiencing another problem with my laptop. When I would run my applications to do whatever simultaneously, the system would just freeze. I would wait a while to see if the computer would resume to its normal state, but it would either be stuck or work extremely slow (though most of the time it would be frozen). I checked the event viewer to see if there were any errors or application hangs. There was quite a few. The two main errors I received are Event 1001 and Event 1002 and Event 257.

How do I solve this problem with my laptop?
