Application Event Log no Longer logs events

Hi,

I've recently checked my Event Viewer under "Applications" and noticed that
it stopped logging a few months ago. The system log still works correctly.
Any feedback/fixes to this issue will be greatly appreciated.

Check to see if the Event Log service is running. Click on
Start/Administrative tools/Services, this service should be running and
Startup Type set to 'Automatic'.
