Application error in Lotus Notes

I'm getting the following application error every day with
the same user:

Application popup: New Memo - Lotus Notes: NLNOTES.EXE -
Application Error : The instruction at "0x00298804"
referenced memory at "0x0ad51fde". The memory could not
be "read".

Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program

I've tried re-installing Notes (Version 5.08 / 09) the OS
is 2000. I've tried the IBM site but no joy.

Any ideas ? I don't fancy re-installing windows on this
system.
