Append Same Records

I need to update data from Table 1 to Table 2 via an Append Query. The Query
would find the same record from Table 1 and replace it in Table 2. Also it
would input the records from Table 1 that are not in table 2 already. Can
this be done?

Please, no VB answers (I don’t understand it very well)
