appearance has changed

For some reason, the box on the left of my emails, that shows-inbox, sent
items, deleted items, drafts,etc. has disappeared from my screen and I can't
figure out to get it back. Does anyone have any help?

Open Windows Mail > View > Layout > put a checkmark on Folder list > OK

Hi, Salvage1.

View | Layout - Folder pane.

If you don't see the Menu bar - with File, Edit, View, Format... etc. on
it - then click <Alt> first to show it temporarily. Or click the cryptic
little icon just left of the "?" for Help on the Toolbar and choose Show
Menu Bar; this will toggle it on (semi-)permanently.
