Windows XP
My desktop icons fonts are enclosed in a colored box. I would prefer to
eliminate the box and just have the icons showing with an underline of the
fonts when I put my cursor on the icon. Could you please direct me to the
proper area so that I can make this change.

Thank you in advance,
Hank Laskin

Hank:

Go to Start>Control Panels and click or double click on Folder Options.
Under the General tab you will see a radio button under Click Items as
Follows: Choose Single Click to Open Item.

I believe this is what you are looking for.

Later,
Bill
