Still a bug; I'de think;that my AV apps and other programs;don't see them as
junctions;and get stuck; in the "Hall of Mirrors"
Don't know if that's MSFT;or the 3rd party app.

Sounds like a bug in the antivirus program. Windows has supported these
types of junctions for a long time now, and it has always been possible for
a junction to "point back on itself" like this; however, this is the first
time that Microsoft has included such junctions out of the box.

I suppose the antivirus program is bypassing the security restrictions on
the junction, which is why it is entering into the hall of mirrors. You
shouldn't run into this problem with any "normal" application.
