To change italics: you would have to change the style. It is possible
but not all that straightforward. But are you sure that you have
picked to correct type for your source? For example, for books, the
title is in italics while for booksections, the section title is not
while the book title is. So if you would enter a book as a
booksection, the title would be formatted incorrectly. What kind of
errors do you see?
To change indentation: first add a bibliography to your document. Now
that you have the bibliography, go to the "Styles" group on the "Home"
tab and click the little arrow in the corner (alternatively, you can
press ALT+CTRL+SHIFT+S). In the list that pops up, look for a style
called "Bibliography". Note that if you use a different version of
Word "Bibliography"might be translated into your language
(Bibliographia, Bibliografie, ...). Select it, press the array and
choose "Modify..." from the menu. In the window that pops up, you can
find a "Format" button which displays a menu. Pick "Paragraph" from
that menu. In the "Indents and Spacing" tab, you can now set the
indentation to whatever you want. In case of APA, you would have to
set the "Special" indentation to "Hanging". Press "Ok" till you have
closed all windows. Now, whenever you reformat your bibliography, the
indentation will remain.
