everytime I started aol today (4-5 times) itcame on
changing resolution to 640x480,eventually I look in the
properties for the icon/s, saw that the "run in 640x480"
option is ticked, don't think I ticked it yesterday.
Thought I solved problem, opened aol again blue start-
panel may have come up but the browser and sign-on panel
didn't appear, not minimised, minuit later I hear the
welcome to aol message, I still can't see it anywhere
(using explorer). May have changed some other properties,
what should the properties option be on the general and
compatability tabs? I have tried different combinations
and Idon't think thats the problem. Can I uninstall and
reinstall without a disc? Is there an alternative?

If you are in the US you should be able to find an AOL 8.0 or 9.0 CD almost
anywhere. Try Office Supply Stores, Best Buy, I think there were even some at
the local pharmacy(Rite Aid). You can reinstall to the same folder as your
current install or to a new folder and then uninstall the old copy. Either way
works fine, I've done both many times in the course of beta-testing.

Greetings --

I'm afraid you'll need to contact AOL's tech support for resolution
of problems with (or caused by) their product; Microsoft has no
control over AOL's product quality (or lack thereof).
