AOL link to Vista Windows M ail

I linked AOL to Vista Windows Mail as a IMAP file and got an error
"XAOL-UAS-MB failed".
So I switched to POP3 and it works. However, the email is deleted from AOL
and moved to Windows Mail.

How can I keep it in both places?

To keep Windows Mail from deleting messages on the server:
In Windows Mail go to Tools, Accounts, select your AOL POP account,
Properties, Advanced, select "Leave a copy of messages on server."

However, AOL IMAP should also work in Windows Mail.
Be sure to follow these instructions:

Gary, I changed the setting to Leave copy of msg on server. It works. Thank
you so much. The other instructions seem to be about Express not Windows
Mail so I decided to go with your first suggestion. New computer new
operating system new forum for questions...its the best...Lindy

The settings for OE & WM are exactly the same.

You're very welcome. Thanks for reporting back.
As Steve already indicated, Windows Mail uses the same settings as Outlook Express.
